How to install 3-in-1 kitchen mixer tap

Preparation

Tools: wrench (or pipe wrench), screwdriver (preferably flat-bladed medium-sized screws), rawhide tape, cleaning cloths, and possibly plumbing fittings and sealant.
Accessories: new faucet, hot and cold water hoses, filter hose (if the faucet is equipped with this feature), fixing nuts, washers, etc.

Checklist:

Make sure all the above tools and fittings are available.
Check that the new faucet and its fittings are complete and undamaged, especially parts such as hose fittings and gaskets.
Close the main valve of the water source to ensure that no water will flow out during the installation process.

Removing the old faucet

Turn off the water supply.
Locate and close the main valve for the water source in the kitchen or bathroom, usually in the wall or under the plumbing.
If the faucet is controlled by a separate main water inlet valve, you will need to close that valve as well.

Remove the old faucet.
Remove the connecting hose by unscrewing the nut underneath the faucet using a wrench or pipe wrench turned counterclockwise.
Be careful to remove the cold water hose first, then the hot water hose, to prevent scalding.
Gently remove the faucet body, You may need to loosen the set screws or clips.
Clean the old faucet mounting location to remove impurities and old sealing material.

Dispose of old hoses and connections.
Discard or recycle old hoses and connections properly.
Check that the new hoses and connections match the faucet and water connections.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Connecting the Hoses

  • Connecting the hose: Align the threaded portion of the hose with the water inlet at the bottom of the faucet and turn to tighten. Make sure the hose does not twist or kink when connecting.
  • Check connection: Gently pull on the hose to make sure the connection is secure and not loose, and tighten moderately with a wrench (do not over-tighten to avoid damaging the threads).

Step 2: Linking the filter hose

The 3 holes on the bottom of the 3-way faucet correspond to the 3 water inlets. Connect 2 hoses to the faucet first, and then connect one end of the iron filter hose to the filter outlet of the faucet.

Step 3: Secure the faucet

  • Place the support ring: If the faucet needs a support ring to stabilize the installation, first place the support ring on the hole of the sink.
  • Install Faucet: Place the support ring on the hole in the sink first.
  • Install the faucet: Align the base of the faucet with the holes in the sink and gently lower it. Make sure that the spout of the faucet is facing the desired direction.
  • USING WASHERS AND GASKETS: Place a washer (if available) underneath the base of the faucet and tighten the faucet onto the sink using the retaining nut for the iron filter hose. Use a wrench to tighten the nuts moderately, but not too tight to avoid damaging the sink or faucet.

Step 4: Testing

  • TURN ON THE WATER: Slowly turn on the main water valve in your home and check for leaks at the faucet and hose connections.
  • Check the function: Turn on the cold and hot water switches on the faucet, as well as the filtered water switch, to check for smooth water flow and accurate temperature adjustment.
